On Saturday, Eltham claimed a strong victory at home against Maidstone, with the final score being 31-9. In the first half, we struggled with discipline, giving away cheap penalties. Despite this, we were fierce in defence, with some big its from Seb C, Bleddyn M, and Hector MB. Eltham were losing at half time, however managed to bring it back in the second half. Both structure and power helped us to wear down the Maidstone defence, with strong carries from Bode K, Elliot C and Arthur W. Tries from Bode K, Will F, Bleddyn M, Max M and Sam H all helped Eltham come out with a win. These tries came as a result of organised rugby, with strong forward play and good hands in the backs. On the whole, a strong start to the season for the 2nd team.
